Joanie Girl

Y'all. Y'ALL. I have the best friend in the whole wide world! Her name is Joan. She is a firecracker with the biggest heart. I haven't seen her since before summer, but we often call to catch up with each other and just laugh at past shenanigans and nonsense.

Tonight, we were talking on the phone, and she hits me with a plan that she has already discussed with her mother.

Her: "Claire, I want to see you more than anything in the whole wide world. So I am buying a plane ticket to either come to see you or to fly you to my house in Virginia.

Me: "What, no. You're not going to buy me a ticket..."

Her: "Let me finish talking. And yes I am because I have a big girl job and you don't and this will be your birthday present and Christmas present. So don't say I never got you anything. But, you have to find the flights."

When Joan makes up her mind, there is no question. Especially if she has already talked to her Momma. She wanted to see me on my birthday, but I already made plans with my cousins to go bar--hopping for my 21st birthday. Whoop whoop!

So, we got off the phone and I found a cheap a$$ roundtrip flight (cheap as in $65) to her home.

I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE MY BEST FRIEND!!

Just look how cute that face is. But don't let that smile fool you, she could beat you up. I just thought I would make this post in appreciation for her <3
